Local Government In August, 2009, the City of Rio Vista established its own City Volunteer Program. All of the volunteer opportunities with the City are included in this program, with the exception of those within the Police and the Fire Departments.
If you are interested in volunteering
for the City, you should check out these opportunities on the City's website at

Website Assistant
Assist the City staff with
designing the pages, uploading documents, pictures, information, etc.
Knowledge of website software and html language required.

Administrative Aide
Provide skilled, highly responsible professional support to the City Manager and
administrative staff. Provide
research; compose, prepare and review a variety of documents; develop new
policies and procedures; schedule and participate in meetings, projects and
activities as assigned; coordinate and review the tracking of legislative
information; and design, write and coordinate website layout and other duties.
Audio / Video Camera Operator
Operate the stationary and remote TV cameras during City Council Meetings and
Planning Commission meetings.
